Kingdom Vision – Telling Stories of God's Kingdom

Hello everyone.

I thought I’d make a vlog to keep you updated on what’s going on with Kingdom Vision.

Things have not gone like I planned. . . Which was probably the Lord’s plan.

How have things been going?

So I’m here at this church. . .

Quick editor’s note: This is not a good vlog. I think it’s important to get you guys to the story so you know what’s going on. So that’s what I’m doing. Back to it.

I’m here at, First Baptist Church Branson, I was hoping to talk to the mission’s pastor here. I’m going to go meet my wife for lunch, and then we will have another meeting after that, and we’ll see how things go. Come along with us.

[Later that day] Whoo! Today has been a pretty busy day. It’s just now a quarter after four.

My shift in perspective

I originally planned to raise money primarily through ongoing donations. However, most of my conversations all of last week and the week before were ended up being related in some way to a specific topic. (Maybe a soverign God?)

So this is the video I’m working on. This is my timeline. I have all these different clips. I did I had a friend come in and, help me shoot a video of myself explaining Kingdom vision because I realized I need to go to churches and to people with a better presentation.

Projects.

I need to think of Kingdom Vision in terms of projects instead of ongoing funding.

Let me show you something else.

This is a list of everybody I might possibly contact. So it’s a long list. And all these that have something next to it are people that I have contacted and reached out to. Whether it’s ongoing meetings, upcoming meetings, or we’re in the process of working through something.

That’s what I’ve been doing. Contacting people. Also. Administration. Every time I think I’ve got something figured out with the government, there’s something new. There’s always something new to take care of. So I’m I’m figuring this all out. And the Lord has guided me and shown me which way he wants me to go.

How projects work out

[Later that day]

We’re on our way to have supper with Ashley and Alex. Missionaries in Guatemala. And it’s a great opportunity because they’re one of the first projects that I want to work on. Tell their story. It’s a great example of thinking about projects. I want to do a project with Ashley and Alex. Five churches in Missouri support them. I want to go to those churches, raise support, and raise interest from those churches so that I can travel to Ashley and Alex, capture their stories, and get their stories in those churches. We do have to get it funded. We do have to make sure churches are interested in sharing it. And that’s what I’m working on right now. If we can get those things, we can tell their stories and get those stories in churches. That’s what makes me excited!

Overwhelmed

[Three days later]

When you saw me at First Baptist Branson, I wasn’t there to meet him. I was there to hopefully meet with that mission’s pastor. Long story. . . I ended up meeting with him yesterday, and it was a good conversation. A lot of effort to get that conversation. And it doesn’t look like it’s going to be a partnership.

See, here’s the thing. This is overwhelming. I think about all the things I have to do. Here, let me show you. . .

I started writing down all the things I have to do. You see this one right there? The second one on the list. That’s the only one I’ve ever done before. I’ve never tried to fundraise, meet new people, or make a website. Or do payroll, taxes, or…

It’s more than I can do. I wake up on mornings like this, and I’m just overwhelmed…

But there’s one thing I know…

TRUST THE LORD

That’s one thing I can do. And it’s not because I’m really good at it, it’s because He’s the one who can do so…

There’s a lot to do today… I’ll go get done what I can.
